Loggerhead Store Is Now OPEN!

Hello Loggerheads,
This is James Tomalonis your humble Parent Assoc President, I have been busy
getting the Loggerhead items we have for sale organized and ready.
None of these items for sale are "required" for summer season, but they are
available.

We have the dark green competitive suits in the "Turtle" print;
(While we currently have some in all sizes, we only have limited quantities
until we reorder in the Fall) 1st come, 1st served.
Girls youth sizes 22 thru 28 at $50 ea
Girls regular sizes 28 thru 38 at $50 ea
Boys sizes 22 thru 38 at $35 ea

Coaches Doing Their Thing!

Information for the week of 6/27-6/30!

The swim meet scheduled for Tuesday will be postponed to a later date.
Welsboro has been generous enough to let us reschedule and have a home
meet instead of just heading up there to have the meet.

Another thing, as requested, we will not fight the 4th of July holiday
weekend and we will have no practice Friday. The schedule for this
week is as follows:

Monday 6/27- Thursday 6/30
10 and Under: 4:00-5:00
11 and Up: 5:00-6:30

Thank you for your cooperation on our fluctuating schedule. Thank you
all for being such great swim team parents!

Parent Association Meeting Tonight

There will be a meeting of the Summer Parent Association tonight June 22nd 2011 at 5:30 pm in the Multipurpose room in the YMCA. Hope to see you all there!

Paul Is Back!

Custom Swim Caps

We will be accepting orders for custom swim caps from now until Friday June 17th. The order information can be viewed here.

To order, just email coach Joel at joelblesh@gmail.com with the number of caps that you would like, with exactly what you would like on it. We will still have our black Loggerhead caps on sale for $3, and there is no need to special order those!

Practice Time has Changed for the Week of 6/13-6/17

Practice times have changed from the orignal schedule. Practices this week will happen at the YMCA and times will be as follows:


10 and Under- 4:00-5:00 11 and Up- 5:00-6:30

Jersey Shore to Host Trip to PSU

Miss school field trips already? Here is a pretty good opportunity to go on one with a swimming theme hosted by the Jersey Shore Summer Swim Team!

Cost is $14 dollars and the trip goes to the heated outdoor pool at Penn State University where you will swim and have a great time jumping off the 10 meter high dive!

No Practice 6/10

There will be no practice on Friday, June 10th. We will return to our normal schedule on Monday!

Some Kids Have All the Luck

Madison got an unexpected letter from the tooth fairy at practice yesterday. The other day she lost some teeth in the pool from a kickboard. She was such a trooper and was right back to practice the following day!

Practice Times for the Week of 6/6

Practice this week is all at the YMCA and the times are as as follows
10 and Under- 4:00-5:00
11 and Up- 5:00-6:30

This week practice runs Monday-Friday

Coaches Clinic Held for BESL Coaches

Lycoming College played host to a two hour swim clinic hosted by Lycoming College Head Coach Jerry Hammaker. This clinic was to teach BESL coaches the importance of seasonal planning along with getting all of the league coaches in a room to talk about what they do.well and what can be worked on. This was a great event and we are.lucky to have someone as knowledgeable as Jerry at our leagues disposal to help us out. Thanks again Jerry!
